The Grand Haven-based Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company will present Shakespeare’s “The Tempest” at the Beardsley Theater in Muskegon on April 1, and at Seven Steps Up in Spring Lake on April 9. Both performances take place at 7:30 in the evening. Tickets for adults are $14.00, and for students and seniors are $7.00.
The final play of Shakespeare’s writing career, “The Tempest” tells the story of the powerful wizard Prospero, who has been exiled on an island for 12 years. When he uses his magic to cause a shipwreck, new visitors to the island find love, hatch plots, and narrowly escape the vengeance.
Pigeon Creek’s cast features actors Chaz Albright, Bradley Hamilton, Kat Hermes, Sean Kelley, Scott Lange, Bridget McCarthy, Eric Orive, Sarah Stark, Julia Steudle, Brad Sytsma, Kaija VonWebsky, and Scott Wright. The production is directed by Katherine Mayberry.
